This is a full year’s program of study incorporating crafts, interactive lessons, health, and play. Kidsparks – Kidsparks is a yearly science and social studies curriculum based on the New York State common core curriculum.The program consists of fabulous manipulatives and a 50 unit curriculum that will be scaffolded weekly to give the children multiple opportunities to integrate the concepts. Highscope – Highscope is a multisensory math program based on the New York State approved common core curriculum for preschool math instruction.This program was initially implemented during the Summer 2013 session, and the children are already experts in their letter and corresponding sounds. It is systematic and based on a multisensory approach to learning letters and sounds through phonics, and then decoding and blending words together. Fundations – Fundations is a preschool and early childhood language/reading development program based on the famous Wilson Language Program.The following are some of the curriculum programs were have implemented at Parsons: Parsons Preschool is in the forefront of these changes as we transition from mere playtime to serious instructional strategies to help our students learn and grow so that they are better able to compete in the world of education when they graduate from our school and enter Kindergarten.
A bonus is that we incorporate the Spanish language at our child care center as well.There have been numerous changes in the world of education at all levels, from preschool to graduate school. We focus on pre-literacy skills such as math, language, science, and various cognitive development exercises. After circle time, small groups will work together to enhance targeted academic skills.

We help children learn how to make their own choices of what materials to catch on too, and focusing on their interests.Įach day between 9:00 am and 11:30 am, children will participate in a structured schedule.Ī weekly circle time we’ll discuss themes, stories are read, and finger plays are put on - this is a great group experience for shared laughter and learning. It’s important to us that while preschoolers are under our family child care, that they be respectful to other kids and staff. This promotes a more relaxed demeanor, which is better for learning and generating a better mood throughout the room. Unlike many other daycare centers, it’s imperative to us that your child feels comfortable in their environment. We follow a Montessori-based program, which contains ideas from sensorial, language arts, geography, science, puzzles, crafts, dramatic play, and so much more.
There are many aspects of our preschool daycare class that will encourage social, physical, and educational growth. This set-schedule class offers structure that is comfortable, expected and puts them more at ease. Our preschool classrooms are designed to accommodate children ages 3 to 4 years old.
With an experienced staff on hand, we are dedicated to providing these young children with a great learning and growing experience. There is so much to learn in our early learning preschool classes.
